About Me

My name is Elaina. I grew up in a small town in Idaho where I learned to love books! Anytime I had free time, I could often be found quietly reading a book in a cozy little corner. However, finding a good book that hadn't been tainted by the filth of this world was always a struggle. I didn't trust many public services to guide me to a clean book, so much of my selection process came by way of my aunt's book collection instead. I took recommendations with a grain of salt and for fear of what was out there, hardly ever took those suggestions. I tried doing my own research on books but seldom found information that was helpful. What I told myself was that I was just too busy to read anymore, ultimately abandoning the thing I loved so much. Coming to that realization hurt me.

 

After struggling with this battle for years, I still don't have a one-for-all solution to find the right books, but I can help others to do so. I don't want anyone to feel torn between accepting the moral decay or putting aside reading. I wanted to create Lainie's Little List to include all the information that I was so desperately looking for while determining if a recommendation was worth the purchase.
